Marketplacer takes home top accolades at Retail Global VIP Awards

Marketplacer has been awarded Best 360-Degree [commerce] Solution and VIP Challenge Award at Retail Global’s Vendors in Partnership (VIP) awards.

Hosted on the Gold Coast, Sunday 28th March, the awards seek to fill a crucial role in the retail landscape, recognizing the important roles that retail solutions partners play in driving retail success through innovation, empathy and excellence.

In the Best 360-Degree Solution category, Marketplacer was commended for supporting retail vendors through the trials of 2020. A standout was Marketplacer’s collaboration and innovation with hospitality entrepreneur, Shane Delia, co-creating his vision of . A premium takeaway dining experience launched in June 2020, created an urgent marketplace solution for the hospitality industry amidst COVID-19 lockdowns, resulting in a forecasted $100M business in just 5 months, which is still seeing restaurants taking on hundreds more covers per week than possible pre-pandemic.

The collaboration was further recognized by judges in The VIP Challenge Award. Also praised in this category was Marketplacer’s role in building Australia’s first impact-driven online marketplace for women-run businesses with Global Sisters, as well as unifying a network of franchise beverage businesses under the banner of the Shop My Local marketplace, ensuring local bottle shops supply product to online shoppers in their area.
