Marketplacer Boosts Online Review Functionality With Yotpo Partner Agreement

Sydney, 3o August 2022 – Marketplacer, a global technology platform that enables brands, retailers, suppliers, communities and innovators to easily build and grow successful online marketplaces at scale, today announced it has signed a partner agreement with Yotpo, an eCommerce Marketing Platform that offers the most advanced solutions for customer reviews, visual marketing, loyalty, referrals, and SMS marketing.

Yotpo helps brands drive growth by creating engaging experiences to build lasting customer relationships. Its integrated solutions for reviews, visual User Generated Content (UGC), rewards, and referrals empower businesses to win over new audiences using their customers’ voice.

The partnership between the two companies will enable Marketplacer to provide further rich functionality for sellers and consumers while providing Yotpo with extended reach into the marketplace economy.

Rad Mitic, Head of Partnerships at Yotpo says the partnership solves a long-standing pain point that will now unlock revenue for sellers.  “This is a game changer for Australian e-commerce marketplaces, even though it seems like a no-brainer feature,” says Mitic.  “The complexities of gathering product-specific reviews on marketplaces make it near-impossible to offer shoppers accurate social proof – even with an amazing engineering team.”

Prior to this partnership, Marketplacer’s customers were unable to gauge sentiment on their products and were increasingly demanding robust options to collect product-level reviews.

Yotpo’s detailed analytics dashboard enables merchants on Marketplacer to obtain a solid overview of how their products are being received by shoppers.

Dylan Bookless, Chief Executive, Medcart, says that his company decided to select Yotpo over other review platforms based on its rapid and easy integration with Marketplacer.

“Right now, we are considered the retailer and not the marketplace and adding reviews of sellers means that we’ll now be able to educate consumers that we are a marketplace and not the retailer,” says Bookless.

Indeed, Yotpo is the only company in the market that can effectively unleash this functionality for Marketplacer.  It means sellers can now build genuine social proof and trust, and access more customers which are the biggest factors in converting sales and loyal customers.

“We partnered with Yotpo for several reasons, including their market leadership, focus on innovation and ability to disrupt the future of marketplace functionality in the critical areas of social proof, online reputation and support for sales conversion,” says John Mullins, Chief Alliance Officer, Marketplacer.

“At the same time, this partnership enables both of our organisatons to further diversify and broaden our sales channels while providing Marketplacer customers such as SurfStich, Providoor and Barbeques Galore with the ability to collect product specific reviews.”

Mitic added, “Most importantly, we’re now giving consumers a channel to voice their valuable feedback. We’re so excited and proud to be able to fill the void and provide sellers with insights and data that can transform businesses.”
