Our approach to availability

We understand the value that our platform adds to our customers’ business. We have built the platform with an industry leading cloud service provider, AWS, to ensure it is available and works as expected. They make reasonable efforts to deliver 99.9% or higher uptime, so our customers can feel confident.

Quality controls

Maintaining our customers’ trust is critical to Marketplacer. We have implemented controls to strengthen our platform during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as recommended by global standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2):

Cloud hosting infrastructure

Our partnership with AWS allows Marketplacer’s platform to take advantage of a scalable, reliable,
high performance and secure global cloud infrastructure.

AWS includes Regions which are physical locations where they have data centres. The data centres are logically grouped in Availability Zones (AZ) with redundant power, networking, and connectivity in an AWS Region.

Regions and Availability Zones help us to achieve a high Level of fault tolerance for our platform. For further information on AWS regions and AZ see AWS Regions and Availability Zones.

Our cloud service provider, AWS, has adopted a secure by design approach while building the data centres

  • Initial environmental and geographic assessments are conducted,
  • Redundancy addresses fault tolerance
  • Critical system components are backed up across multiple, isolated locations to ensure availability
  • Capacity planning is continuously monitored
  • Data centre risk assessment activities are performed
  • Third-party testing of AWS data centres is conducted to obtain security certifications.

We operate an extensive backup program with documented procedures and periodic reviews.

Backups are monitored and tested. Issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Backups are protected against ransomware. Data replication capabilities have been adopted for Disaster Recovery purposes.

Physical security controls to the storage and transportation of the information are in place.

Our platform has been developed using a multi tenancy architecture, this ensures that our customers sharing the infrastructure are logically separated.
